The Primary Strawberry

Once the major elements are in place in one of my photos, it’s time to create the scene to be photographed: a team of little dudes carrying off bits of strawberry.

In my opinion, the most important element in this scene is the strawberry being worked on, the “primary strawberry.” It is the focus, and all other elements visually support it. The jackhammer worker is on top of it and pointing down into it. The ax man is in front of it. And the two workers carting away bits of strawberry form a visual line back to it. Even the background figures and other strawberries are positioned such that they point back to the primary strawberry.
